​DIY Masks

Face Masks
Charcoal peel-off mask
Ingredients
  1. 2 tablespoon non flavored gelatin
  2. 2 capsule of activated charcoal (preferably made from coconut shells or identified wood species)
  3. old brush to apply
  4. a drop of peppermint extract (optional)
  5. Toner
  6. Cleanser
 
Directions
  1. Mix activated charcoal, gelatin and peppermint extract.
  2. Wash face with warm water and cleanser then apply the mixture on your face using the brush.
  3. Let it stay for 20-40 minutes for the mask to completely dry. The mask is dry when you can’t move the mask around your face, completely matte and it tightened on your face.
  4. After the given time, start peeling along the bottom of the mask going up. Do it slowly so as not to hurt your face and the slower you go the more black and white heads you will pull out.
  5. After the mask has been pulled off, use a warm damp cloth to wipe away any leftover pieces of mask and some charcoal.
  6. Apply a toner to your face to close the pores.
 
 Avocado mask
Ingredients
  1. 1/2 ripe avocado
  2. 1 teaspoon plain organic yogurt
  3. 1 teaspoon of honey
  4.  1 teaspoon of olive oil (optional)
Directions
  1. In a bowl mash an avocado until it is soft
  2. Incorporate the yogurt and honey till smooth
  3. For an extra intense mask add olive oil
  4. Mix till everything is blended
  5. Apply to face and leave on for 10-15 minutes
  6. Wash off with water and dry with a clean towel
 
Chocolate mask
Ingredients
  1. 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  2. 3 tablespoons of oats
  3. 4 tablespoons of cream
  4. 1/4 cup of honey
 
Directions
  1. Mix dry ingredients
  2. Slowly incorporate wet ingredients
  3. Apply thin to face and leave for 10 minutes
  4. Wash off with water and dry with clean cloth



Hair Masks
Strawberry Hair Mask
Ingredients
- 6-8 Fresh Strawberries
- 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil
- 1 Tablespoon of Honey



Directions
1. Blend all ingredients to form a puree
2. Apply evenly to damp hair
3. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes
4. Rinse well with warm water

 
 

Aloe Vera Hair Mask
Ingredients
-2 tbsps. of Aloe Vera gel (30 g)
-2 tbsps. of water (20 ml)-
Utensils
-Spray bottle

Directions
-Cut a leaf of Aloe Vera and extract two tablespoons of gel.
-Stir the gel until you get a smooth consistency.
-Add two tablespoons of water and mix together.
-Pour this liquid into a spray bottle and shake well.
-Use it as a hair spray after washing.
